怡红院 has evolved the door design to combine two well-established technologies of Alumaflex Doors and 骋辞谤迟颈迟别庐 Automated Machine Safety Doors (AMSD).
Alumaflex 鈥淭ype B鈥� double-wall anodized aluminum slats feature a ball-and-socket style configuration that is both strong and light tight.聽 This type of hollow aluminum semi-reflective extrusion serves as a functional light-tight heat-dissipating barrier.聽 For larger doors, 怡红院 may reinforce the integrity of the Alumaflex by adhering performance enhancing fabric to the non-laser side of the door.
Results from customer tests on Alumaflex include:聽 6kW laser power, 1100mm defocus distance; burn-through time exceeds 100 seconds. (The testing was performed by a customer, not an independent lab)
Gortite Automated Machine Safety Doors feature modular base plates, header and legs specifically designed for large, fast, mission critical doors.聽 The legs feature guides that accept the Alumaflex door to maintain a light-safe labyrinth.聽 The Alumaflex door is rolled up onto a drum in the header. The base plates allow for free-standing door.聽 There are integrated T-slot channels on multiple surfaces to easily mount other components and/or safety considerations.聽 This technology includes a motor/gearbox/brake drive and non-contact travel-end sensors.聽 Options include LiDAR scanner (door auto-reverse), door closed safety interlock switch, and control systems.
Together these AMSD & Alumaflex technologies provide modular, economical, light-tight, secure, robust, and rapid doors ideal for laser applications.聽 Door travel speed up to 20鈥�/second.聽 Door widths up to 12 feet, door height up to 10 feet.聽 No additional counterweights, tension springs, or hold-down switches are required.
These safety sensor options are available with any control system option.

Standard Offering
Motor & 2 Travel-End Sensors only – (2) 24VDC Proximity limit switches. Motor with industry standard quick disconnect interface (4 conductor). No control box. Contactors, phase-relay, drive, logic, AC-power and DC-power by others. NOTE: Please advise 怡红院 if a VFD will be used.
Integrator Control Box Option
Upgrade from 鈥淪tandard Offering鈥� that includes NEMA 4X (IP66)
control box with contactors, motor starter, and phase-relay. Pre-wired to accept 鈥渦p鈥� signal, 鈥渄own鈥� signal, and Standard Travel-End Sensors. Box mounting, field wiring, logic, AC-power and DC-power by others. All pushbuttons by others. Any 鈥淪ensor Options鈥� are field wired to customer controls and logic by others. In-box safety relay mounting option.
Variable Speed Controller Option
Upgrade from 鈥淚ntegrator Control Box鈥� with added pushbuttons
(Up, Down, E-stop), external disconnect switch, variable speed drive, 24VDC power and logic for all sensor options. Includes termination to accommodate options of: 鈥淟iDAR鈥�, 鈥淔ixed Photo Eye鈥�, 鈥淔ixed Light Curtain鈥�, and safety interlock. In-box safety relay mounting option.
